Freelancer Training Assistant in Yemen (w/m/d)
The Association of German-Yemeni Engineers (DJIV) (www.djiv.de) is a non-profit scientific and technical organization registered in Berlin with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience between the association members as well as the cooperation between German and Yemeni organizations in the technical and academic fields. The DJIV was founded in Berlin in 2015 and currently has around 90 members, most of whom are highly qualified Yemeni engineers and scientists who work in various areas of science and industry in Germany.
As part of the business and employment promotion project that the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) is currently implementing in Yemen on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the DJIV and the GIZ signed a grant agreement on January 14, 2021. According to this contract, the GIZ is providing the DJIV with a grant for the implementation of the “Capacity Building for an Automated Solar Energy Ecosystem (C-BASE)” project from February 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.
The aim of the project is to lay the foundation for a Virtual Energy Platform (VEP), which will ultimately act as a bridge of knowledge and know-how between the solar energy organizations in Germany and Yemen.
To support our C-BASE team at the earliest possible date, we are looking for a
● Support with the application process and the selection of prospective trainees for the C-BASE training program
● Assistance, on site, to the trainees during the training
● Examination and evaluation of the trainees in cooperation with the trainer
● Completed degree in electrical engineering, or renewable energies or a comparable qualification
● May have: Several years of professional experience in the design of PV systems and the related software tools, such as the SAM software
● Experience in conducting training courses
● Good written and spoken English
● Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
● Flexible working time model
● Interesting and responsible tasks with a thorough vocational adjustment ● Total remuneration of € 1000 gross
